Janelle Sallenave oversees customer service for North America and runs the global network of in-person support centers for driver partners. Uber is the leader in the ride sharing industry and one of the fastest growing company in the world. Uber is changing the logistical fabric of cities around the world, helping to strengthen local economies, improve access to transportation and make streets safer.
Janelle is responsible for all support services in the US and Canada. This includes in-app support, chat, phone and email support for millions of customers, helping with everything from simple fare adjustments to sensitive safety issues. Her organization is spread across three continents and runs 24x7 in multiple languages to support Uber’s ride sharing business in addition to UberRush, UberEATS, Uber for Business, Uber Freight and other new and emerging lines of business.
In addition, Janelle is responsible for the global strategy and operational execution of 600+ in-person driver locations in more than 60 countries in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and APAC. These driver centers, called Greenlight Hubs, help new and existing driver partners engage with the Uber platform. And because the centers are Uber’s local connection in each city, they host a wide variety of events from partner appreciation celebrations to tax seminars.
Prior to Uber, Janelle served as a senior vice president at Charles Schwab, a leader in the financial services industry helping millions of individual investors with brokerage, banking, insurance and other financial services. Janelle held various positions in strategy, segment management and service. In her time at Schwab, she directed strategic support to the CEO and other company executives, held management roles in Schwab’s Advisor Services business, led portions of the firm’s B2B and B2C service organizations, and helped develop the strategy that led to the creation of The Charles Schwab Bank.
