As the Chairman of the Mandela Legacy Foundation, Zondwa has a unique understanding of what it means to be responsible. As the grandson of Nelson and Winnie Mandela, he has inherited the responsibility of continuing his grandparent's lifelong pursuit of equality, human rights, equal opportunity, and social justice.
Zondwa will share his memories with conference attendees of growing up with two of the world’s most influential people and unveil the road map they conjointly developed to continue to inspire and lead the African nation through the Mandela Legacy Foundation.
For more than 10 years, the Mandela Legacy Foundation’s mission has been to develop solutions and partnerships that can improve the lives of South Africans. As such, Zondwa will discuss how the Foundation has been creating a future for South Africa’s youth by providing hope, guidance, and opportunity, through digital skills enrichment and cutting-edge training curriculums.
He believes that the only industry capable of generating enough jobs to address the growing youth unemployment problem - in the shortest possible time - is the Contact Centre/Global Business Services (‘Outsourcing’) sector.
With the accelerating growth of RPA and AI across the corporate world, South Africa has embraced digital transformation and encouraged opportunities for young people to harness their talents, knowledge, and enthusiasm to take advantage of the growth of automation and its associated technologies.
As a result, South Africa’s Outsourcing sector is expanding rapidly and is fast becoming recognized as the preferred location for U.S. businesses seeking low-cost, high-quality offshore business services.
