Welcome to the 6th Annual Design Thinking 2020 Summit!
Over the years, we have noticed Design Thinking become a widespread way of thinking that has seen many organisations work through a customer-centric approach. In 2016 key organistions were investing over $100 million to implement this way of working across their organisation. Today in 2020 it has become the focus for many designers with proven success.
That being said, we are far from a universal consensus on the core principles of design thinking, the best practice for implementation as well as gaining leadership buy-in.
Due to the disruptive wave we've experienced in 2020, the 6th edition of Design Thinking Australia will be delivered 100% online! Are you ready to check out what we have planned in September?
Getting Design Thinking to be the central heart of your organisation! Tackle the big questions you need to address with business leaders to prove that design thinking is the future.
Customer Empathy
This is the heart of Design Thinking. We tackle all aspects of customer empathy from research, VOC, empathy immersion to gathering the right feedback to shape your projects
Scaling the Process
You have the knowledge and leadership buy-in – now what? Learn how you can scale your business and design thinking strategies so you too can become true innovators
We spoke with Facebook, USAA, NAB, & Tabcorp to see how they worked to secure buy-in, and have successfully integrated Design Thinking to streamline and optimise product creation.
Along with networking there is also the opportunity to meet like-minded people and to really deep-dive into what is certainly an interesting topic that provides a number of opportunities. An event like this allows you to actually focus and think and be introspective as to how you can take what you learn and apply it to your life immediately after.
I think the Design Thinking Summit is a great semblance of diverse and inclusive perspectives on how design thinking is approaching every sector from private industry, to government, to education. Very rarely do you get this sort of semblance of people in the same place and it’s from that diversity that we can all improve and find new ways of working.
A great opportunity to get a broad perspective of what’s happening in the industry. I think it’s great to have the mature and the beginners interact as well as get these keynote speakers from overseas who have a completely different perspective and come from the US. It’s so different to how Australia thinks for design thinking. So it’s really, really good to get a cross-section of where the industry is at the moment.
The event has brought together a lot of design leaders from across the world and a lot of corporate companies, government companies and social causes all under one roof. It provides a space where we can explore and understand the challenges of embedding a Design Thinking centric culture and strategise solutions to these challenges from a host of organisations that have ‘been there, done that.
